Park Slope is a down-to-earth residential area of historic brownstones and fine tree-lined streets in Brooklyn, New York. There are many things to do in Park Slope. Park Slope Activities

Prospect Park  

Prospect Park, Brooklyn, is equated to Manhattan’s Central Park. The 2.4-kilometer park opened its doors in 186 and was designed by Calvert Vaux and Fredrick Law Olmsted after completing their work in Manhattan’s Central Park.

If you are visiting Park Slope, check out this landmark. Brooklyn’s only lake is in these 24 acres of Prospect Park. Other features worth visiting include large green areas such as Long Meadow.

In the Litchfield Villa, the Brooklyn HQ for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is located in the park. It’s also the former home of Edwin Clark Litchfield. During the summer, the park is the site of Celebrate Brooklyn!, a popular series of (mostly free) outdoor concerts that bring the likes of David Byrne, Chaka Khan, and Talib Kweli to Park Slope.

Nitehawk Cinema

The dine-in movie theater Nitehawk Cinema opened in Park Slope in 2018. The theater offers a menu of food and drinks that can be consumed while people watch films. Additionally, it provides liquor-licensed and table service.

Nitehawk is considered the favorite movie theater by New Yorkers. If you are visiting Brooklyn, check out the Nitehawk Cinema adjacent to Prospect Park. Their menu consists of locally sourced products and a well-rounded cocktail selection.

Brooklyn Museum

Brooklyn Museum is an art museum that exhibits collections that embody the art of world cultures. It is known for its expansive collections of African and Egyptian art.

If you love history and art, visit the Brooklyn Museum of Art to see 17th -20th-century art paintings and sculptures.

Park Slope Shopping

Are you into vintage shopping? Park Slope has several stores to shop for books, clothes, and footwear. On the Fifth Avenue of Park Slope, you can get curated boutiques that sell Pucci minidresses. Two Lovers offers a mix of vintage and contemporary designer women’s wear.

For book collection, Community Bookstore, which has been in the neighborhood for over four decades, you can get some great book titles. Additionally, they have a group of tomes from local writers and independent presses.

Music fans will love Music Matters, which stocks its small space with inventory based on “neighborhood demand” and offers a buy-15-get-1-free vinyl punch card, and Fifth Avenue Records and Tapes, helmed by charming, funny owner Anthony Mignone.


At Park Slope, you as well enjoy your seat-down dining in restaurants like OG Miriam, located on the corner of Prospect Place and 5th Avenue. Other Park Slope restaurants along the avenue for dining even at night include;
